Hearts for Hue (H4H), our partners in Vietnam, have reported the successful conclusion of our joint chicken raising project. The project was designed to assist people with disabilities and other vulnerable people in the Vinh Pu area to develop up a sustainable source of income and a degree of economic independence through chicken farming, marketing and business development.

A survey of participants found, amongst other things, that most were keen to continue with the chicken farming and that it had helped enhance incomes, pay for more diverse nutritious foods and supplies for themselves and their families, and had contributed to enabling some to cover costs of schooling for children.

H4H is looking to build on this success and develop a collaborative marketing board and other strategies to broaden and strengthen these outcomes.
