PiCCA Who we are

PiCCA (Partners in International Collaborative Community Aid Ltd.) pools donations of money, time and expertise to assist communities overseas work towards greater equity, opportunity, justice and peace.

We recognise that these are aspirational goals for many, but we are driven by the idea that they are fundamental human rights and that we all have an intrinsic power to make a positive difference to our world.

A commitment to human rights, equity and social justice motivates and guides us. We seek to work in partnership with overseas communities on development projects that are locally identified, led and governed.

We hope to make practical contributions to improving grass roots level education, health, livelihood and food security outcomes in these communities and seek always to operate with fairness, transparency and accountability in all the work we do.

The company was founded by Stephanie Boldeman, Warren McMillan, Steve Maguire and Tiziana Miceli. We loved the idea of bringing together a community of like-minded people who want to make practical contributions that enhance education opportunities, food security, health and living conditions in communities overseas.

We work for the company pro bono so that every cent of every dollar that is donated goes to projects overseas.

PiCCA has been established as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee to ensure accountability, transparency and effectiveness. The company (ABN 41 603 012 906) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, and is registered to fund-raise through the Queensland Office of Fair Trading. The PiCCA Overseas Aid Fund is a Deductible Gift Recipient, meaning all donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
