We have just received this beautiful message from the school community in Tawal, Nepal (see photo).
One of PiCCA’s first projects was joining with the Hilly Region Development Club and the Nepal Australia Friendship Association to help rebuild the school in Tawal destroyed by the massive earthquake of April 2015. Across Nepal, 9,000 dead, thousands of buildings destroyed. The impact of that terrible time continues today. So too however, the resilience of the local community in overcoming all challenges to pick up and begin again, to rebuild and to provide hopeful futures to their children. We are humbled and proud to have played a small part in this new beginning.
